Reference & design
Start with a drawing, a sample or a catalog reference. Identify the version, intended use and changes you want reviewed.
Manufacturing
Build a clear jewelry development brief before sampling or production. PD Jewellery reviews the requested design, construction and order scope with you, with specifications and milestones confirmed for the project.
Use these seven areas to make a manufacturing inquiry easier to assess. Unknown details are welcome: identify them as questions for the project review.
Start with a drawing, a sample or a catalog reference. Identify the version, intended use and changes you want reviewed.
List the proposed base metal, stone type and components. Mark unknown details for review rather than treating the photograph as a material specification.
Describe the finish color, plating direction, setting and assembly. Confirm the construction and any measurable finish requirements in the proposal.
Record dimensions, tolerances, weight or fit needs, clasp and moving parts. Agree what the physical sample must demonstrate.
Provide an estimated total and quantities by color or variation. MOQ, feasibility and pricing require review of the selected construction and order split.
Describe individual packing, labels, carton needs and the destination. Confirm shipping responsibilities, required documents and the proposed schedule.
Agree the sample version, review criteria, required checks and sign-off owner. Confirm revisions and production authorization in writing.
Separate confirmed specifications from questions. Note your target date and any confidentiality requirements before sharing detailed files.
Confirm scope, materials, sampling costs, timing and responsibilities for this project. A reference is a starting point, not an approved specification.
Review the physical sample and record accepted details. Resolve changes and re-sampling before authorizing the production specification.
Play the factory video when you are ready.
Specify the target market, test methods, inspection scope and documents you need. Confirm document availability, applicability, responsibility and cost before relying on them for an order.
